Fellow fastag Owners I need some information on Fastag. I got my fastag from HDFC in Nov 2018 and it has been working until now. Yesterday I read in the news that Fastag has new rules effective 1st Aug 2024. FASTags older than 5 years must be replaced. I spoke to HDFC Fastag Customer care about this just now. They are saying that there is definitely a 5 year rule, but I can continue to use the original tag if it still works. What are your thoughts/experience around this?

I also have the same query. I called HDFC and they said there is no requirement to change as of now and we will be intimated in case fast tag needs to be replaced.
