another big issue is diners does not work  on all pos machine.

Another difference is on redemption options. For infinia, points can be redeemed for Tanishq vouchers. However attractiveness of infinia over DCB metal has definitely reduced after they reduced limit on agv to 10k per month especially taking into actually DCB 10k quarterly points

When the spend based fee waiver isn't met and the fee is paid for Infinia there is a renewal benefit of 10k or 12.5k reward points.

I have the same question..I hold a Diners Black normal card which is life time free.. I never upgraded to diners black metal as that was not LTF for me.. now when I inquired from my relationship manager about infinia he said that I can get but on chargeable basis.. he will try for first year free but no guarantee.. if I don't get FYF, I will have to pay 12.5k plus GST where I will get 12.5k points in my account..

My spending on HDFC credit card is primarily on gyftr smartbuy vouchers, where I buy swiggy/zomato/bigbasket vouchers of around 20-25k a month combined, and 10k amazon pay balance and around 5k flipkart voucher a month.. the purchase of amazon and flipkart vouchers has gone down recently after they levied convenience fees.. with this spending, it is worth upgrading to paid infinia from LTF diners black normal card?
