I am trying to make my Credit Card Bill Payment via HDFC bank Bill pay & recharge using my HDFC Debit card. I have tried multiple times. Everytime it shows FAILED. Can someone guide me as to what could be the issue?

When did you add the cc in hdfc billdesk?
Over 2 months. I have been trying to pay credit card bills but keeps showing as FAILED. Tried multiple times last month also and today also.
The card i am paying bill for is Visa Signature and my HDFC card is Rupay Platinum DC. So are you trying to say Rupay Debits dont work for Bill payments?
Someone in another thread told to pay 1 Rs through billpay using you savings account first. Then pay the bill.
Try to see if that works.

Usne yeh thorai pucha hai ki 1% cashback milta hai ya nahi. 😀 Woh HDFC Platinum debit card me milta hai sirf.
Well, I was facing the same issue with my rupay card. After replacing it with visa, it is smooth like butter now.
If not cashback , why would anyone bother to use debit card instead of net banking ? 🤪🤪🤪
