Hi guys anyone Got their core card after getting first Card as a co branded card please share your experience is anyone Got. (FYI I know it is hard to get core card after getting first Card as a co branded but I want to know this is possible or not

A family member had a TIMES Platinum since 2015. For the last 3 years they had been trying to get a core card either by directly checking on the regular HDFC CC apply link or talking to the RM (Imperia relationship). RMs would say "Can't be issued until you cancel the TIMES Platinum."
Around 4 months ago they again went to the regular HDFC CC apply link where they were shown HDFC BizBlack, BizPower and may be another variant. They work as a CA; so it made sense because they have a business of their own. Typically, the site would tell them "You already have our best card". So, they wasted no time in applying for HDFC BizBlack and it was approved the same day with no follow up at all. The limit is combined with their existing TIMES Platinum.
P.S. - Both cards are paid. The BizBlack will easily meet its annual spends criteria whereas the TIMES Platinum is just Rs 1000 + GST which is easily offset by the dozens of BMS 50% tickets they book through the year.
