Do you already have any hdfc cc? If yes, did you try getting their rupay upi virtual card?

Firstly, Check the reason (if possible) of the application rejection (low credit score, existing debt, or not meeting the issuer’s eligibility criteria)

Did you try from both respective apps ? If so, Was the pre-approved offer shown in these apps (like FYF/LTF/No Banner)?

In some cases, where you get after calls, it could be an attempt to bypass automated checks But mostly If an agent is offering a "Lifetime Free" (LTF) card after an online rejection, it's worth being cautious

Verify the Legitimacy of the Offer by email confirmation as sometimes like stated above you might still get the card (incase not rejected again) but with charges(No LTF)

Note - Also share your PAN card photo, passport photo, or bank statements when you're absolutely certain the process is legitimate and secure & good to share over official mail

If you're particularly interested in a RuPay card, there are other banks and issuers that offer credit cards on the RuPay network which might offer better approval chances
