Hdfc asking letter for credit card limit enhancement

I am having a tata neu hdfc credit card. When I had emailed them regarding limit enhancement they were asking for a letter with salary slip. Is this normal for everyone.

If U Manually Ask For LE , Then They Will Ask Income Documents. Just A Standard Protocol. If They Manually Increase LE , Higher Chances Of Not Getting Pre-Approved LE In Future. As Per Dimers Discussions With Some Banks.
