Today I visited CK Birla Hospital in Gurgaon, they charged me ₹1750 for consultation. The Doctor was really good in communication, and explained the things in a good manner.
Now I am explaining my health issue here. 15 years back I had gone thru a surgery for underarms infection (i.e Hidradenitis suppurativa), that time I was charged for ₹3000 at Sharda Hospital, Gr.Noida. It was just a local surgery of 2 cm skin cut for about 10 min. And I walked to my home the same day with stitches. But again that infection is appearing at the same place.
Today the doctor prescribed some antibiotics and also suggested that I go for surgery, and then
he asked do you have any insurance coverage, I said Yes, and then his assistance took me in another fancy cabin and did some calculation on his PC and printed a rough estimate of
₹1.25 lakh which is covered under insurance and extra ₹10-15k which is not covered. I told him I need local surgery but he said the Doctor has suggested only OPD surgery which is about 15-20 min only.
And I asked can I go home after that, he said, no you have to admit here for 1 day and next day we will release the patient. I have to stay in their fancy rooms so they make hefty bills.
I just left the hospital and asked my family doctor and they said just take antibiotics you will be fine.

what if the insurance company rejects the claim.
I am ready to cut myself & die.
I will not let loot me in day light in the name of surgery.
For small cut & excession So much Anaesthesia charges, OT charges ?
So much medicine charges ?
Everything is multiplied by 500 % ?
Wherever this Birla name comes up, it's going to be costly.......
