Govt to hold 35.8% of stock in Vi

Great step. With Govt having a hold, BSNL users will get 4G network from Vi when share is trasferred. Just like Airtel, Voda and Idea signed 3G ICRA agreements in 2011, BSNL will get hold of latching on Vi.

Seems to be good for VI on a longer run. It would either survive or be sold to a larger player like Jio eventually, seems to be better than crashing and shutting down.

knew this is going to happen as they can’t pay dues they will give govt shares instead of cash

vi earns ~3800 crore last querter ( EBITDA not actual profit) and paid ~5100 crore interest last querter and thier earning is decreasing day by day and interest payment increasing it’s doomed 

VI share will go down drastically

so the govt will sell profit-making PSUs and buy loss-making Pvt cos?

from past 3 years I tried to use BSNL multiple times but believe me ye free mein bhi mehenga hai, not talking about 3g or 4g, 2g network bhi pre 2014 wala nahi hai sms der mein ate hain network outage rahta hai most of the times, BSNL is intentionally brought here in this condition warna atleast 2G  – 3G network to achha tha Aaj wo bhi nahi bacha @InvestPotato
