Government's new circular says maximum price of Covishield @ Rs 780, Covaxin @ Rs 1410, Sputnik-V @ Rs 1145 for private hospitals
Government’s new circular of 8th June 2021 (https://www.mohfw.gov.in/pdf/RevisedVaccination...) has introduced maximum price of Covishield @ Rs 780, Covaxin @ Rs 1410, Sputnik-V @ Rs 1145 for private hospitals. This means that private hospitals in India can provide vaccine jabs at the above mentioned maximum prices (i think it is per dose). It includes the maximum service charge of Rs 150 per dose. This news was 1st spilled by our dimer @desiman and @Sigma999 so thanks to them!

where everywhere in the world dude, get a break in life and stop reading whatapp university forwards. trust me when i say with no agenda, you have no idea how lucky you are to even have a shot at getting vaccinated. VACCINE AVAILABILITY IS STILL SCARCE ACROSS THE WORLD, this is a fact. I have experienced and seen it first hand. Sorry for the caps, but just wanted to be loud and clear. Get the definition of corruption clear!
once Bharat biotech boss assured to give covaxin below the price of a water bottle, is it true?
Jo bol rahe hai paid kyun hai.. To tum pvt mein jaake kyun le rahe ho.. Govt to bula ke free mein de raha hai.. Kaise kaise lok hote hein.. Paisa jyada hai iss liye pvt mein lenge phir bolenge ki paisa kyun lia.. Bhai nase mein ho kya ya ese hi bol rahe ho.. Whatsap university se pass ho gaya ya.. Pandemic mein bina exam ke pass hone wale batch ho

Those who DO NOT Question the wrong/immoral/illogical/criminal deeds of the Govt. today, will eventually become a slave of their own employees (MLA/MP/PM are employees on a 5 yr contract).
If we can’t make the Govt. employees, provide us best Healthcare, Education, Protection against the taxes we pay.
Then what the hell, do we citizens pay Taxes for (GST, VAT, Excise, income, import, property taxes) ?
thats what I argue everytime…even if in pandemic I have to pay for vaccines then why pay taxes? i mean we all know the conditions of gov schools & hospital, just sick of paying taxes on income as well as on expenses(only god knows the amount of tax we pay on petrol)
I got Covaxin for free in Kolkata (Below 45) when others were still struggling to book slots on cowin. Source hai to sab mumkin hai.
you and me are in minority..less than 2 crore people have to support 140 crore.. This is bound to happen..
People wants everything free which various state government’s gives but they do not have money for vaccine procurement.. No need to say which states and govt they are
For the first time, price capping ke baad price actually increased. Covaxin before price cap – 1200-1250. Covaxin price after price cap – 1410. Where is the logic?
I don’t understand how COVAXIN is so expensive compared to international vaccines. Tall claims were made by govt authorities and bharat biotech that indigenous vaccines will be way cheaper and that with them we are going to save the world. Anyone else remembers or is it just me?

Adar poonawala, CEO of SII once said that even at ₹150/dose (0.5 ml i think) they are making profit.
So according to me, a Prime minister, in order to save lives, should have ordered 300 crores doses at ₹50/dose or even cheaper in 2020 itself not in 2021.
Like US, Canada, Europe did.
Also if SII doesn’t agree to ₹50 price, then the PM should have used pandemic Act, to either nationalize SII for a year, or opensource/license the Covid Vaccine formula to other 29 Vaccine Manufacturers in India.
So India could produce & vaccinate 1 crore people daily, just like China has been doing since December-2020.
Instead he allows Adar poonawala, to increase prices from ₹150 to ₹600 which gets sold at ₹900 in Pvt. Hospitals, but State Govt. can’t even purchase same vaccines at ₹400 to then provide it for free.
If that is not called, “Promoting corruption” by PM, then what is ???
Procuring so much vaccines will have cost to safely place it in cold storage and to travel those vaccines to relevant places. It’s not just procuring vaccines. There are other expenditures as well like cold storage containers, location cost, travelling cost, then nurse, police cost then other miscellaneous cost. Instead of these, govt giving free in govt hospitals as well as in they have opened to give free in schools where schools were shut due to COVID. If somebody Dont wants to be in a queue then they are going to private. Don’t go in private if you thinks it’s costly. But don’t curb after paying in private.
There are people who will defend and say that very small portion of public pay taxes hence vaccine has pricing policy, let me say this, has the government at any time said they don’t have finances to run all the various schemes, defense purchases etc. It’s because while we have low ITR filers, a large amount of population still pay indirect taxes and those are amongst the highest in the world.

then why petrol cost 110 above diesel cost 100 above because of free vaccine or crude oil effect. when barrel cost 5dollor we had the price of 75 to 80 average now for free vaccine we are paying 1 to 5 times taxes why free vaccine provide vaccine for low cost. for BPL give free above BPL take money. cut petrol and diesel price to normal range. we dont want free vaccine in the cost of that vaccine we are giving taxes up to 600% higher.

Its FREE everywhere, even for non-citizens.
