Hope there are DBT transfers done ASAP into bank accounts of labourers, minimum wage workers, poor families working in unorganised sector.
Is that even possible ? Do we even have data on people living in extreme poverty ?
Is there any database of their bank accounts ? ( Mnrega beneficiaries come to mind )
Those are the challenges. Hope something is done soon.
Seems like a good time for the measure like NYAY even if implemented for the duration of pandemic.
Even hardcore capitalists are sending people checks in murica.
Canada is doing fantastic in this regard sending 2000$ per month for their citizens.
