FTP Server on Mac

I am trying to setup FTP server on my mac so that I can access the storage from anywhere.
I tried to installed Filezilla Server. But I noticed that the connection between client and this server times out if the client remains idle for few minutes. For eg. if I am watching some video and the video is already buffered then the connection remains into idle mode until the video finishes. And then later the storage access is lost.
Doesn’t anyone knows how to setup FTP server on mac latest OS or any workaround in this case.

I tried to edit through Gui and verified. It saved some settings file in the Library path. Still, the connection is lost after some time.
And the moment I login to remote mac using some vnc viewer, the ftp access also starts working.
So not sure if the OS is getting into sleep mode or something.
Even if we assume that mac os is going to sleep mode then how come I am able to connect to it through vnc protocol but not through FTP protocol.
Have you setup FTP server on mac and used it to play videos.
I'm using QuickFTP from appstore https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/quickftp-server/i...
Streaming movies from usb hdd to firestick on tv
Also had to Disable following two options in system preferences
- Put hard disks to sleep when possible
- Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off
I tried that as well. It has very limited options and I was not able to select external drives (under /Volumes) as shared resources.
Just edit the config of server to remain active.
