I read somewhere - Use this section to discuss, make friends and to share ur thoughts (Avoid Religious, News, Political and Social Issues related topics )
hmm but "our life" is involved and defined by political things in democrazzzzzy , our tax to everything is based on political things, even subsidy is based on political views, then how can we not discuss it??????
are we toys in child hands? to play monopoly? with fake money game?
(i mean i dont know, how we can keep our eyes closed and say world is dark)
hence political views are also "people thought" as well so sharing thoughts
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः 😓

Sad but harsh truth -
The person who initiated privatization during the 1991 economic liberalization, enabling common people to become millionaires and billionaires, and helped empower the middle class.
Today, the same empowered middle class criticizes private companies and Indian millionaires/billionaires.
If you respect Manmohan Singh, then you should also respect private companies and Indian millionaires and billionaires.
Because this idea was Dr Manmohan Singh's.
But don't worry, those who don't understand this now, their children or grandchildren will definitely understand.
Countries that depend solely on govt companies end up starving. We too (i mean our entire nation, India) were on the verge of starvation. That’s why Manmohan Singh introduced privatization.
Let me tell you one lfunny thing. If Manmohan Singh was not there, even DesiDime wouldn’t exist today.
First, there was the whole issue of the License Raj in India, but let’s ignore that for a moment. Suppose the founders of DesiDime still managed to start their business in India. But as soon as it grew and became a platform where people could share their opinions, the Indian govt would have sent a notice saying, “From today, this company Desidime is a government company.” End of story. The founders would have had no right to say anything.
These are the reforms introduced by Manmohan Singh in 1991.
Tata was operating under charitable company, which is why it survived; otherwise, Tata would have been finished long ago.
Tata's many subsidiaries and many other companies were overnight taken over by the govt and turned into govt companies.
So, thanks to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Who introduced the 1991 economic liberalization. People still won’t understand it today, but since our country is a democracy, eventually, over time, people will understand one day.
If PV Narasimha Rao would not be there , there would be no Manmohan Singh.
Unfortunately a political party always tries to wipe Rao off history.
Final Rites on 28th December 2024
If i look at him irrespective of party, todays India is blessed by him. I liked his continued work giving dam about criticism and today we are all eating the fruits.
.
Rather than running away he stood silently and did his best which is not easy task facing provocative criticism that time.
.
we switch jobs , easy for us, as we dont like something in that environment and feel great, how many continued and gave their best against odds, one such examplery is him.
.
I wonder, will he ever get angry, even if, i remember his last words as PM as i quote
.
"I do not believe that I have been a weak Prime Minister. I honestly believe that history will be kinder to me than the contemporary media or for that matter the Opposition in Parliament… Given the political compulsions, I have done the best I could do.
It's our perpetual duty, to save the honor of this man for the future generations.
This is a good article on his key contributions: https://www.indiatoday.in/amp/business/story/ma...
When Singh was appointed Finance Minister in 1991 by Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, India was on the brink of an economic collapse. The foreign exchange reserves had dwindled to levels that could barely cover a few weeks of essential imports like oil and fertilisers. Inflation was rising, the fiscal deficit was widening, and India faced a balance of payments crisis.
Singh, with his deep understanding of economics, introduced a series of sweeping reforms to stabilise the economy and pave the way for long-term growth. Manmohan Singh’s reforms were centred around trade liberalisation, industrial policy, privatisation, boosting foreign investments and exports, reforms in the banking & financial sector and globalisation, which fundamentally changed the Indian economy.
Aadhaar and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) were born during the UPA Government's reign. Singh’s government also introduced the famous Right To Information (RTI) Act, empowering citizens with access to government information. The Right to Education (RTE) Act aimed to provide free and compulsory education to children aged 6-14, ensuring education as a fundamental right. He presided over an economy that grew at more than 8%, championed landmark initiatives such as the Indo-US civil nuclear deal which ended India’s nuclear isolation, and launched ambitious social welfare programmes.
Manmohan Singh was not only a politician but also a distinguished economist. He held roles at the Reserve Bank of India, Planning Commission, and International Monetary Fund (IMF) before entering politics. His expertise earned him respect globally, with many recognising his efforts to integrate India into the global economy.
I feel as an economist he was brilliant. His main criticism centers around the fact that his second term was marred by a string of massive corruption scandals that eroded public trust in his administration. People claimed that in the UPA govt e.g. chairperson Sonia Gandhi and others used him as a puppet to impose their laws and promote corruption and nepotism, they were actually at the helm of affairs.
That didn't erode his work as a PM but certainly sealed the fate of the Congress party for the next few years.
Whoever comes in this world have to go he is not alone, He left but how many of us are going to live this long? Can we live 92 years in such toxic environment, we should have condolences for ourself for potentially earlier demises, I see people of previous generation are already living 92 to 95 years and their descendants dying at 50-60-70 this harsh truth
