The more patriotic these companies try to act the quicker they fail 
Alternative ready in pipeline before phonepe going to get banned.
More time spent in shopping app(with this UPI option) then more chance of customer purchasing any product that seems to be Flipkart's plan I think.Amazon does this too and along with this they(Amazon) have minitv on the app itself too so people who spend time on app more likely to order something.

True. But it doesn't matter. There are numerous such example. Let's say Flipkart wants to integrate phonepe in its own platform. Can they do it? Probably not. Because phonepe is an independent entity with a different shareholding pattern and their board of directors may or may not agree. General atlantic own a significant shareholding in phonepe, they will fight tooth and nail if something like that happens.
Nakal kar raha amazon ka har jagah.. pahle vip aaya fir recharge now upi on way.. amazon is all in one app since i am using it. Wallet balance ko payment at other merchant kar de to apay ko mattch kar lega.. utility pay with Ballance etc

I think, it is due to RBI's restrictions on UPI market share. Phonepe and GooglePay together have around 85% market share. Earlier RBI had put restriction that one can't exceed 25% market share. I don't know the status of that rule.
So I think, Flipkart is doing this to bypass RBI's restriction.
It's 30%. But it's honestly gonna be hard to do it. The only possible way would be to reject onboarding or start cancelling customer transactions
People use these apps because they're good apps. Literally no one can match the simplicity & amazing UX/UI of Google Pay. PhonePe works because it's fast & smooth unlike bloated trash Paytm. PhonePe is bloated too but atleast it's smooth
The only way to reduce share is to build good apps which people would wanna use which honestly India can't do. Indian companies prioritise a*$holery more than customer-centric approach. Design trash apps, unlimited data collection, no data security, a$*hole design, all are India's default

Patriotism is a good thing but should be within a limit.
The second thing is that multinational companies do not belong to any one country.
It has to be seen that how much they reinvest in that country.
There are some companies which invest a lot in the beginning, but later that company completely eats up that country.
Like payment network companies are ahead of everyone in this.
I noticed 2 interesting things -
- All these things related to Patriotism have been said by Americans & Europeans.
- When was this said? Between 1700 to 1900 century, when they were developing countries.
Once they became developed countries and started controlling other countries, that's when they began showing cruelty.
The quotes were saying at that time according to the perspective of their own country and the world.
For example - I hate this quote by Vikram Sarabhai -

If Vikram Sarabhai were alive today, he would apologize to the entire nation for this quote.
And it has often happened that some popular and famous Americans, around their last days, have apologized for many of their quotes, as they were deemed right at the time but people began emotionally following those ideas.
If someone agrees with me, they should also remember this: my words are also for the present time. Things will change in next 50 years. Maybe then I'll be the one to say that what I said doesn't apply to the present time anymore.
