flipkart replacement issue

Hi Diners,
I bought an IFB washing machine from flipkart and it was open box delivery, they delivered it to me and it was looking alright so I kept it. When technician came for installation then I opened the door and came to know that the door's lock is damaged and as it was in front of the company technician, he asked me to get it replaced as it is a manufacturing defect.
Now flipkart is not replacing it saying that I need to provide them with a denial letter from IFB that this machine is not working whereas they are saying that as you bought it from flipkart only they need to replace it without anything from our side.
Can someone please help in this matter

So ideally flipkart needs to replace this or they actually need something from IFB service centre?

Nowadays they don’t care about anything.. I think it’s time to gradually move back to offline shopping

Facing same issue with Flopkart, purchased dining table which has some manufacturing defect, technician come everyday and suggest as return will proceed and finally return gets rejected and Flipkart suggested to put return request again.
