Factory reset is usually fine. I have factory resetted both of my fire sticks multiple times without any issue.
Is your remote working fine?

Hi guys..I have a fire tv stick bought in 2022 and registered with my brother's account. Since my brother's prime account expired I tried to register it with my account ( prime subscribed) however it failed. I factory reset it and now not able to use it, tried all trouble shooting as read on internet but after choosing language it stucks on update. Called customer care and option given was to ship it to Mumbai through blue dart. I asked for the repair cost and they informed it can be told only after it reaches service centre!! Any other options available? The cc guy told me that I shouldn't have factor reset it as it creates problems... Any dimer with experience in it.. pls suggest/ recommend further action..

As far I can think of what can cause this situation.
1) DNS issue.
(Router) change your DNS settings to default.
2) Most likely cause is Firmware Corruption.
Only thing you can try as a average consumer is Flashing/rooting Fire stick.
