initially i thought he is wrong later i realized he is not wrong he has all right to stop banks providing cashback so that people dont waste their hard earned money in banks rather invest in good assets to be billionaire in future
LOL, If I were the next Finance Minister, I would undertake the following actions:
1) First, I would separate RuPay Card from NPCI.
I would establish two departments for RuPay Card:
a) First department that supports govt schemes such as Jan Dhan Yojana Card, Mudra Card, Kisan Card, PunGrain Card, and all other existing RuPay card schemes initiated by the government.
b) A premium card segment for RuPay Card - Classic, Platinum, and Select cards.
c) I will try to acquire Diners Club India business through RuPay Card
2) RuPay Card alone cannot achieve everything, I would establish another credit card company, Just hypothetically named "Bharat Credit Card".
3) I would suggest to HDFC and SBI Card to develop their own payment network cards and use the RuPay brand name while internally operating their own payment networks for domestic credit card transaction, using RuPay solely for international transactions.
In conclusion, some of these initiatives might succeed while others may face challenges and eventually merge with other companies. However, overall, customers would benefit by having better choices among Indian companies, leading to increased competition and improved services.
