I agree with the above comment don't fall for these free checkups they might not be as thorough as they should be when it is a free appointment and plus they try to sell their own prescription glasses to you.

I've experienced this scenario when i had an appoitment for eyecheck up at one of those charity funded clinic and they examined it haphazardly, I had no prescription glasses until that point. It was my wise decision to book an another appointment at another clinic for second opinion.

Eye sight checkup doesn't cost much, search for clinics online instead of those eye glasses merchants and choose one with cheaper rates they give you thorough examination (not just with computer machine but manual also which is important) if they suspect an eyesight loss before prescribing glasses.

Visit doctor ASAP

Do not look for 'deals' when it comes to eye sight. Go to a proper hospital - lots of options like Vasan or Nethralayas or others where they will check not just for power but also glaucoma, cataract and such.
