Also, which term plan is advisable, Govt(LIC) or from Pvt. institutions.

I am looking for a term insurance of R1 crore. This is 10 times my yearly take home. I need advice on which is the best available term plan in the market which covers all the risks and has credible and hassle-free claim settlement. The policy should cover death by all scenarios including natural disaster (flood, tsunami, earthquake terrorist attack, riots, etc.
If it gives returns, would be great..

Apologies for asking early, but i needed the information urgently so i had to ask now, below is my query:

my bike insurance is about to end today, so i want to renew it.
I was trying to renew it online from last week, but due to some technical glitch, it’s now allowing me to do so.

can anyone help me with getting an optimum plan for getting insurance of my bike, purchase was on july 2011, Hero Honda CBZ-Xtreme, 150 cc,

it would be very helpful for me if anybody could suggest some plans,

i am too seeing health insurance for my family which has cashless facility or best TPA for approvel of claims.

Question from someone who have absolutely no idea about the insurance.

How does the health insurance works? and what kind of treatments comes under insurance policies? Can I get treatment from any hospitals?

by nature, a term plan is supposed to be pure risk coverage only.

I did once take a Metlife Policy which had return of premiums option (with a very nominal 3-4% accrual) 7-8 years back, and found it a very attractively priced product. but then at that age it was blocked at lower premiums.

reminds me of a time I was seriously grilling a telephonic support agent of an insurer for better part of an hour
and eventually asked if an event like suicide too would be covered.
my words were something like: “..in case someone commits suicide will the beneficiary still get the underlying corpus..”

i was told that the appropriate details (nee answer) would require me to be put on a small hold.

after what seemed like a fairly long hold, when the agent returned; i was almost in splits when I was told:
“yes sir, ___ (name of the company) covers suicide under ____ policy after it has been in force for N months, thereafter even if you commit suicide, don’t worry, we will pay the …”

it sounded really hilarious as the conversation was primarily in Hindi.
but i had NEVER spoken of the scenario as a first person account.
[i had been asking: agar ‘koi’ suicide kar le ….but when the agent replied, it was more like: ‘..Sir aap suicide kar logey tab bhi ____ Insu. Co. aapke blah blah blah..’ ]
