Why do you need a protein supplement during pregnancy? Protein rich diet can do the job (unless protein powder specifically required due to some disease).
Add soyabean flour to the wheat flour that u use at home... and start other protein rich foods

Doctors suggest shit. At least most doctors suggest shitty nutritional products. Doctors are not nutritionists. Period

Ask a certified dietician and ask a doctor if there ll be any issues if taken. Cross verify and then take.

@saymyname even Momplan has too much sugar. 16 grams per serving.
As per WHO, for health benefits an adult should take less than 25gm sugar (per day)

Try to avoid any supplement during pregnancy. Try to cover all your requirements through whole food. You might gain some weight though but will be good for baby health

You can't expect quality in cheap/economic whey protein. Whey protein is costly. Anyone selling at cheaper price is just faking it.

Check Nestle whey protein. They have sugar added in it else thewholetruth claims pure whey protein too.

It might differ case to case...however I know one of my relatives case. She is pure vegetarian and as during pregnancy, doctors suggests to have pure cow milk if possible or avoid milk at all because you can't be sure about adulteration.

Her Gynecologist suggested her to have 4 Theraptin Biscuits daily to manage the protein intake.

I'm not going into pregnancy topic

However, if a person is able to digest lactose, then 80% raw whey of brands like myprotein, muscleblaze, and whole truth are good enough. These are flavorless.

However, if lactose is intolerant, then you need to go for isolate or hydrolyzed whey.

Since this is related to pregnancy, i believe a woman is involved, so 1 scoop a day is more than enough, along with good diet.
