If people don't get the deal, that doesn't mean you need to downvote.
Are any other dimers facing this issue???
- Sort By
Nope, if you see your post having 100 votes up, then after some time 96 or 90 votes decreased, you know someone did vote down.
@DeciDeaim if any deal has for example 100 hotness and someone downvotes it the hotness will definitelydecrease which means someone has down voted it no notifications
Yes many including me are experiencing this and There is no solution to this thing ever complained multiple times by many users

People aren't dumb to downvote just for fun. The kind of deals, i see on the homepage every time i open the site are a shame to desidime.
Get it check with admin if someone or couple of dimers are targeting ur deals.
Kuch groups/dimers with multiple ids hai jo aesa karte hai.

My view - I don't think ur deals are downvoted, man ka vehem bhi ho sakta hai.
I sometimes down vote some posts just because they post without verification like last 3months pricing ,lets say a box is sold from past month at 300rs some dimers post same as deal and sometimes it even get 200upvotes whenever i mention this in comment everyone just ignores it
If you asked the same question a few years ago, I would have supported you.
But today, Desidime has lost its charm. There was a time when out of 5 deals, at least 1 deal would be worth it, but today, even after 100 deals, I see hardly any good deals.
Same deals get repeated 100 times, and that too, the same person posts it again.
There was a time when dimers used to combine similar deals, but today, for each, they make separate post.
I also say this: I do not blame dimers; I blame moderators and admins for this.
Also, dimers, if you see suddenly rise in hotness and become a hotdeal, then understand that it was promoted by moderators, not by users.
Don't blame moderator for everything.
Mods don't involve in FPD for 99+% cases.
I have posted questions/comments in many of the hot deals for improper/incomplete details.
No proper answer from either OP or from Admins side.
Your comment should 100% need to go for beloved Admins only. (Either good or bad).
downvote accompanying feedback/suggestion in comments section of deal should be only acceptable norm at platform.
@admin @Priyanka @James_012 @quantum
pls consider this feedback if possible. you know how easily, casually and intentionally; it is/has/have/had been misused.
Vu to OP for raising this issue and taking a stand for betterment of community.
The same should apply for upvotes also. I want to know who these groups are... Who just upvote each other's shitty deals.
Someone is looking for a T-Shirt, Some one a condom and some one a Trolley bag so you will get all types of deals
Y care much about downvoting?
you can share deals but cant expect to reach it to everyone.
Just post and forget why worry abt hotness?
There could be various reasons for someone voting down. One of the reason we ask dimers to mention reason why they are doing so.
We do track if someone is intentionally doing it due to some personal grudges and those people are warned and if it continues then we restrict their voting rights all together.
But incase you feel someone is intentionally doing so then pls feel free to ping anyone from admin team and we will take necessary action.
We do expect dimers to vote for deals, good or bad (the reason its there in first place) so its easier for community to understand if its worth or not but sadly many times we see people wants to consume rather than contribute (again that is not compulsion or expectation from them).
But yes i would urge dimers to use their voting right responsibly. And i would still want them to down vote deals if they are not good but most of the times many misses out on up voting if its good.
I never new of this down vote nor observed it on any of my posts... Good info on voting
Very often people are posting deals only to earn dimes or increase their reputation.
The other day I saw a deal for a USB-C to Ethernet adapter from some Chinese company (UPORT) on Amazon with 2.8 stars and 2 reviews for Rs 700. Even a little research on Amazon itself showed that the product was a total waste of money with branded alternatives with better functionality and ratings at just slightly higher rate.
I upvote a deal if I like it though I may not make a purchase.
I downvote a deal if I find it bad. It does not matter if someone else may find it useful. They will upvote it and nullify my downvote. Fair and square.
My vote should be anonymous (obviously admin knows and that's fine) and I shouldn't have to justify to anyone. As a dimer that's my right.
