No, I do not visit them.
Once got some paracetamol and other non critical medicines
but elder family member instructed to avoid. They prefer to purchase medicines from usual shops.

Sporadically in the past for trivial conditions. No more.
As per my experience, even doctor's never suggest PMJAK for medicines and equipment.
But you can always go there to take generic medicines and equipment from them.
Prices are alot lot affordable.
Same with zeelab pharmacy (pvt generic medicine shop)
Govt doctors suggest. And govt dispensery give free meds that too work as advertised.
My father used 2-3 times but quality was not good. Tablets were broken sometimes.
My brother prompted me and told me about it and have been using ever since.
Works as advertised.
What meds are you using?
My mom is using Telmisartan AM for BP management. Earlier branded one would cost Rs 80-160 for 10 tabs. But one from Jan Aushadhi cost Rs 24 for 15 tabs. Have used 15-20 packs so far.
Are you monitoring her BP regularly?
Works the way it's meant to. 🙂
Used zeelabs (only for eye drops) not jan aushadi (very far) so far.
Yes I do regularly.I am not sure if JAKs offer every critical care medicine but introduction of such centres have wreaked havoc on unholy nexus of Big Pharma Sharks & few corrupt doctors and lowered prescription medicines prices making it more affordable esp for underprivileged section.
I do buy from generico near my house , and sometimes from jan aushsdi as its a bit far .
Prices are even comparatively lower than generico same medicine brand seller.
Many Drugs are also been just branded by big wigs and are outsourced.
Atleast for general purpose one should try and can avoid high profile life saving drugs if not comfortable.
But in general government hospitsls dispensaries generic medicines are only used and not branded . Even the chemists handover generic medicine freely when prescribed brand not available snd earn good profit
Op decided to create one buzz topic each day ..
@all
How to know if a jan ausidhi kendra is real or not. Is there any official website to check list of nearest jan ausidhi kendra ( Don't want to use google maps, as anybody can put anything on google maps).
There is a store near my home with board mentioning jan ausidhi kendra, and PM pic on this.
But I am not sure, if it's really operated by government or someone's just using the jan ausidhi name to promote his store and increase sales.
Just download the JA app from Play Store. It displays the list of nearest stores.
Alot! But only non critical medicines. Their protein powder is too good though
JA kendras initiative has blasted corrupt and lalchi Pharma moguls treasury.
Extremely important.
Now govt. Has introduced mandatory composition writing or generic name in prescription. Which made govt. Corrupt doctors crazy, because now they push patients to buy their own promoted brand.
I know doctors who goto foreign trips with full family sponsored by Pharma company. Imagine how much they inflate the prices, beyond your imagination. My qualifications are also related to this field so I very well know dark sides of Pharma business.
Ja Kendra medicines are good, but sometimes lack good packaging and quality control. Tabs breaks because binder was not properly added or reaction was not timely shut off.
For general medicine one can absolutely consider JA kendras.
For extremely important or complex drugs one can go for top branded ones if they can afford.
For those who can't afford JA is a blessing.
Normal gas, bleeding, infection, common antibiotics or injection, normal skin ointments, common syrups etc. One can trust and buy ja medicines. Save thousands rupees monthly.
They even offer gauge or cotton at cheap price. Nice.
@quantum what is here for laughing? Or you got wrong emoji.
Yes , we only use jan aushadhi medicines, and it has a much faster and better effect as compared to other private brands

HP govt. in response to queries by 2 MLAs provided a list of 1683 drugs that had failed in tests in just the three years! The majority are apparently really small, unknown companies (like the ones that supply JA). 2-5 drugs from behemoths like Abbott, Cipla, Glenmark, Alkem and Hetero have also failed in tests.
Zee Labs had been implicated many, many times. I did a search for the keyword "zee" which yielded 120 results.
Most common punishment is suspension of product license for 10 days which is completely meaningless as it's not enforced. CDSCO has been mulling a drug recall system for the past 46 years.
Truly pathetic state of affairs.
My brother prompted me and told me about it and have been using ever since.

If I share my personal experience, I met with an accident. The wound did not heal. I went to a pvt hospital n took branded meds. Did not work. I went to a govt hospital. The doc changed my antibiotics n I took them from govt dispensery. Wound healed faster than I anticipated. 🙂
I have heard and experienced the same.
Salt(chemical) in medicine of private brands in comparison to generic/dispensery medicine are less effective and more pricey.
Only companies and pharmacies getting benefitted by this.
