mujhe lgta he ki home delivery me fresh food rare dete he ealog
The bigger the discount is , the less quantity u get
Do not order food online. Hygienic and no way to know deliberate attempt to spit and whatnot.
Before online food delivery I used to hear same lines, like do not eat from restaurants / outside
If people have so much trusting problems, they should eat only home made that too self made
What is online and Offline? If you have trust problem you will raise question even on Mom made food
The most common problems with online delivery is of Quality. You cannot check the quality of online product especially Food
I have mixed feelings. Sometimes I get amazing taste and food. But sometimes I do not like the quality & taste that I get.
Online food ordering is a gamble
At other times those are like not even eatable . But at all times I am concerned about Hygiene. So this restricts me from ordering food online.
Even after complaining, we did not get any solution/laws implemented from higher authorities. It's tricky for me to fully trust online services but we somehow fall for it at times of need due to handy easy service/features
These online apps can't do a quality check because they process a huge no. of orders on daily basis and it would be too cumbersome to do a QC for all the orders.
Forget quality check the delivery guy doesn't even check the items that are part of the order
So the onus of good quality and correct order lies with the restaurant as most of these apps are just a restaurant aggregator
The food-tech industry in India needs a good overhaul and correction. No particular app or company is trying to solve the issues faced by customers or even the vendors.
Maybe a raised voiced together by following these Consumer Rights in these portals Food and Food Safety , Grievance Redressal - Food Regulatory Portal - FSSAI will make the experience better

imo, it depends restaurant to restaurant.
Some restaurants do not involve in such cheap tactics, as they have reputation to live up for, as simple as that. Moreover, managing 2 of each is actually difficult. Most curries or atta or gravy are already kept prepared by restaurants and when you order, either offline or online, they use those pre-made gravies and put veggies in them. So handling 2 types of gravies and materials to differentiate between offline and online is actually difficult and impractical for most restaurants, given the small sizes of their kitchens, which are already very stuffed up & unhygienic.
My rule is to only order from restaurants which I've visited for dine-in, or atleast seen their outlets or heard of from friends/colleagues. In other words, I never order from cloud kitchens, no matter how cheap they sell.
My neighbour works in a renowned restaurant chain,he told me that many times the Left-over foods of dine-in customers are being repacked and sold for online delivery (Swiggy/Zomato....).
He worked in 5 restaurant chains till now and all having same story.Since then I stopped ordering food online.🤮🤮
The leftover can be served to dine-in customers as well by mixing partially (or just by reheating) with freshly cooked food. So how dining-in at such restaurants will be any different than online ordering? Just saying.
Many times I have observed that When we Dine In the food will taste good but while ordering at home or office it will be of low quality in taste & ingredients...
Online order is prepaid and chances of return to restaurant is nearly zero thusbthey don't care about food quality or freshness or toppings quantity inside
During dine in the customer first eats and then pays so the experience and food quality has to be good else the restaurant might have to re prepare the food
