Do passport not ask for past 1 year history if present address is same as permanent address ?

I received a Show Cause Notice on passport that during my final year Clg was online and I was at home ,so I filled present address as permanent address .
Due to this ,it seems it didn't asked me for past 1 year of residence history .
They wrote on SCN that I didn't give my residence history but it didn't asked me for it .

I too was not asked for anything like that
while filling the passport online form i think we are given an option to select present address same as permanent address
