this portal has so many metro card varients all every metros. then my question is what the hell is one nation card? what does it even mean if all metros have seprate cards?
for delhi metro itself there are two sbi card varients.
Will normal cards stopped working or what? not issuing any more?

I got a delhi metro card in 2017, Using it since last 8 years
They are all same. It is just branding.
If you use HDFC Debit card would you like a generic 'Bank' written or HDFC Bank branding. Same with transit systems.
If you are from Chennai, you wouldn't want to see Delhi metro.
Generic cards are there (with no city system specific branding) eg Airtel Prepaid Card.. SBI new card
These all cards are NCMC Cards.
Old DMRC Cards are stored value cards. Different tech.
Stored Value Cards are not being issued in DMRC now. Source: The Hindu
