I had read that some (who were not ICICI customer already) got that card without income proof in the past, but is that the same case now? I recently graduated without any job (for now) but I did some freelance work in the meanwhile (thanks pandemic). It’s only ~80K which I can show in this year’s ITR, previous ITR was just zero.
Thanks to amazon pay later, I got decent 760 CIBIL score now. So today I tried to apply for the card. After submitting the initial info, in the next step it was asking for Income proof with upload option in video KYC. Then I thought I hardly have any income to show, so it’s gonna get rejected anyway, why bother even trying? so I just closed the tab.
Should I still give it a try? or should I look for slicepay’s card who are claiming to be student/freelance friendly?

If you need slice referral you can pm me
Does applying for slice card through referral have any advantage instead of applying direct?
Amazonpay card is not the card which you should aim for as your first card without any job/income. First get a credit card against fd(I recommend sbi simplyclick, needs min fd of 20k with 70% of fd amt as card limit & a visit to any local sbi branch in your city) & use it for a year at least & then try to get an icici credit card not against fd & then get amazonpay card based on that icici card(assuming you still don’t have any job/income but if you do get a decent job/income with at least 3-4 lakh annual income in itr then you can skip all these & directly apply for the card).
I know about Platinum chip card to Amazon Pay card route. I’ll consider it if I won’t have any other option.
I had applied it for my mother in January, and in company name I wrote “housewife” and Her card was approved and she got 1.1L limit too. you can try your luck
Isn’t point of credit card against FD is to achieve decent CIBIL score first, which I already got through Amazon Pay Later. Does it make any difference? I’m just hoping to get any credit card without FD till I start to make enough income to apply for better credit card. Else credit card against FD is always there as a backup plan.
Companies don’t just check cibil score, they also see what cards/loan accounts you have. Having a decent limit credit card from a major pvt bank(or sbi)/card company helps there a lot.
I also got mine APAY Card without income proof but I already have two cards from major banks HDFC & SBI.
Maybe while issuing they check that also and that’s why they didn’t ask for any income proof.
But if you dont have good history, they will surely ask for income details as well.
Yes, they do check
Unofficial C2C offerings these are.. the credit limit they offer you.. will also be similar to the Max limit of your existing CCs (10-20% more or less)
Yes, it is the same now.. based on my conversations with the CC agents, banks/cc agencies are officially offering credit card for those with earnings <2.5L per annum
But.. it all depends on the KYC agent (online/offline) and the concerning local authority that approves the credit cards, so no surety
If you don’t have any plans to apply too many credit cards (say ine 1-3 months period).. apply for Apay Card and try your luck ( 1 Rejection won’t cause much damage )

You already got a decent cibil score, now you can maintain decent MAB in your ICICI Savings account for pre-approved ICICI Coral/Platinum CC offers!
Pm me for slice referral 500rs u will get @ fixeye. I got it without any income proof, it was mentioned in amazin home page itself for me. I think what did the trick for me was i was paying other credit card bills in amazin app. Try doing that, pay ur friends cc bills
I got apay icici september, last year. They didn’t asked for income proof did video kyc. While applying selected salary >2L. I had employee mail Id & this was my first cc had credit score build up using paytm postpaid which I didn’t knew about that time.
Having an official email id(xyz @ company name) is the best way to get amazonpay card for a salaried person irrespective of annual salary amount.
Oh okay. got it. Thank you all for your suggestion and help.
I was issued 2 weeks ago.. no documents and no prior relationship with them
U have completed with video KYC?
i also applied yesterday, i have icici account from last 6 years and recently got pre-approved hpcl coral credit card
so any chances of amazon pay card approval?
Will definitely get approved.
They may still ask for income documents, paperless approval just means that they have your basic info through your savings account.

Is the offer applicable on all ICICI Transactions?
- This Offer is applicable on all ICICI Credit Card transactions and Credit EMI except for transactions made using ICICI Bank Amazon Pay, Corporate or Commercial cards.
I wanna know if I apply for this card from Amazon Business account, which clearly has my PAN card (and still they are asking me to apply), will they issue another card or what! Sometimes Amazon is crazy.
So they ask for income docs 1st for video kyc??
In app it was showing to me no income docs are required but once I filled the necessary details on kyc page it says need to upload income docs.
If I click on proceed it only says need to have physical pan but i haven't proceeded yet are they gonna ask them after video kyc??
hi i had a bad experience with icici amazon card. they did ask for it proof. i have good cibil score but they rejected. i have many other cards. what is the next best for amazon shopping? is there any hack to get icici card?
You can try to get HDFC Millennia which give 5% upto 20k in amazon and other partner sites. Or you can try to get entry level card of ICICI, then few months later apply for amazon card based on that.
Slice? I am noob to credit cards but from what I learnt in the past few months is going through right credit journey is important, which I messed up.
So my suggestion is, if you are aiming for Amazon Pay ICICI card it is better to work towards it.
You can open ICICI bank account, get a pre approved CC from them but it will take time. Or you can approach them for CC after awhile, I guess getting Platinum Chip shouldn’t be that difficult.
So when the banner appears in app for the Amazon Pay ICICI and redirects to ICICI it will take the existing card number without income proof.
