It seems like Covishield and other products marketed and/or manufactured by Serum institute of India private limited REALLY gave a big windfall to its main promoters.😆

Imagine,
if the likes of LS Holdings (of criminal Sukesh Chandrashekhar) has shown interest and
the likes of Saregama , Reliance too might have held negotiations with Karan Johar (who inherited/ took over Dharma productions private limited after the demise of Yash Johar sir)

then for Adar Poonawalla to infuse INR 10 billion into Dharma Productions.. instead of any of those others
to me.. looks pretty much like a success.

In the past two three weeks, Mister Adar Poonawalla formed Serene Productions LLP (limited liability partnership), which is registered with the (registrar of companies) RoC, Pune, Maharashtra.

Karan Johar and associates cashing out 50% stake in Dharma productions private limited and further infusion of funds in the company is expected to turn the tide for the company.

As such, if one considers consolidated net profits, then (financial year) F.Y. 2023-2024 had been the worse for the company, in the past ten years.

Its consolidated revenue for F.Y. 2024 had been INR 5.202 billion, while its profit saw an even worse year-on-year decline and were about INR 5.9 million.

This purportedly had bearing to the choice of film directors that Dharma Productions had in the films it made in the recent years.
It is said that those directors not being ingrained in the finer aspects of mainstream movie-making.. had a lot to do with the film's not performing as well as was hoped for by the company.

From the looks of it, the Poonawallas would remain passive investors only, while the current management continuing to be at the helm of Dharma productions private limited.

Insiders at jsalaw.com (who were the legal counsel to the Poonawallas) too have hinted that the newly established Serene Productions LLP would mostly serve the purpose of bringing the debt to equity ratio down, while also getting some of the IPRs (intellectual property rights) of Dharma productions private limited and Dharmatic entertainment private limited, which is the digital content arm of Dharma productions.
