WTF man this new interface is sick.
To be honest it looks absolutely naked.
No idea why they keep forcing the changes on us.

And please for heaven’s sake put the Reply button at the bottom not on the top cos we go from top to bottom not from bottom to top.

Left side of the page looks ridiculously stupid.

Overall the new web interface looks like a desi widow.

On the positive side though this new design actually works great on the mobile web as I don’t like using the app and always prefer mobile browser and everything now working great on the small window.

It will be really wise if you give us the option to choose between the old and new interface.
I know you guys won’t but hoping against hope.

well… i barely logged IN after a week (evident from a recent snapshot taken on August 22, 2016 > archive.is/fs3mj so) so not really got to see much.
but overall for someone who always holds ‘evolution’ and ‘nature’ in high esteem. i think this evolution of Desidime too must serve a purpose.

so that in itself it a welcome ‘new’ thing.
rest i will draft good bad essays on what i feel, later if i get the hang of things. get to use it enough for my rants to begin.

it does seem fresh albeit with scope for refining/ fine tuning.
one thing that instantly catches the eye is that
the user stats box next to the comment has become a rectangle with extra width (as opposed to less width, more height earlier).
The expansion menu of become a fan/chat-PM is a nice thing.

but with the former (wider stats box) the risk of mobile user agony increasing is very high.
imagine honourable dimers Quoting each other in a loop and lack of real estate.. stretching the length of the scrollable page !

I thought there is a browser issue after I saw this new layout. I disliked it. Old layout was far better.

new look is cool but change the fonts colours . which dont effect on eyes .. thanks

The old one was good !!

I liked the previous UI better. New one is clumsy and takes more data to load.

Few suggestions:
1. Ability to set alerts for a set of keywords, (say, ‘’RO Water Purifier") so that i receive an alert whenever any thread is posted matching the tags. – Helps clinching deals I’m looking to buy.
2. To be able to add threads / comments as ’’Watched", so that i can quickly get back to them later (esp from mobile app)

Have been using DD from mobile web only, of late. Found many welcome changes there.

Just logged into the desktop browser and oah! there are too many unwelcome changes.

@admin Firstly, when we try to tag you, your name comes at the end of the list when it should have been the first. Put yourself at the top first. It is better to prohibit users from using “admin” as the first five letters of the username and change all those which are already there.

Now coming to the new UI on mobile web, really appreciate most of it. But clicking on the link against a karma log takes us to the first post of the thread and not to the exact post. It should be fixed. Now, the notification link takes us to the exact post. Thanks a ton for this change. It was a really a pain in the thumb to scroll all the way down to the post where we had been tagged. Just do the same to the karma log links too. As I had mentioned elsewhere before, giving karma has become a much lot easier from mobile web now.
Please make a separate tab for sticky threads in every forum just as it is on app. Saves a lot of thumb swiping.

And the desktop web, the reply button should be at the bottom of the thread as well. Do you expect us to get back to the top every time to hit it?
The page buttons should be present both at the top and the bottom for easy navigation.
Ad Bot in between the posts! Naughty guys! Kick it back to the top or bottom. Really irritating!

Previously, we could get the permalink to any post from the time stamp above the username but now the link has been removed and merged with post. How to get it now?

It disappears once you dismiss it. But you have to do it every time you log in.

@admin ji, see how you tiny you look. Why is there a lot of space in that box when it could be divided into two (vertically) with the left half containing the avatar and username in decent sizes and the right half containing the user stats one by one from top to bottom?

Its irritating a lot. Humble request to admin team to either move quick reply window to left side or remove this baba corner icon

My vote goes for previous banner because we don’t need to mouse over to any section to see the latest updates & also new baba corner is very irritating because we need to dismiss it everyone time when we want to create new quick reply

Also the back-to-top button goes on and off intermittently. Fix it.

@admin Just noticed the Deal Wiki section on Hot Deals thread. Excellent! Trust me, with the right people getting access to edit the Wiki, it would turn out to be the most important feature release since I joined DD!

Don’t know how we did without it for so long. I remember using Deal Wiki on FatWallet more than 7-8 years ago. CC @Magus

Right now, it’s available only for promoted deals. Guess it’s updated by the mods/admins while promoting the deal. Or may be it is automated to take relevant info from the post.

But I hope that @admin has plans to give Wiki edit access to experienced and active veterans like you, @viSH, @Sudhakaran, @Zubies, i.e. users who have developed instincts about the quality of a deal and can foresee the questions that newbies usually have.

new look is good and symbol use for is very good
