I dnt know the offer t&c but when i enter the DBS bank RuPay Platinum DC BIN number on Swiggy payment page, got Rs75 off.

This is coming in just at the time when I was going to close my DBS Savings Account since it's of pretty much no use to me.
Even if I request for a new DC, it will be dispatched to an address where I'm not residing in Pune. I recently took possession of my flat in Pune and can get the address changed to there but then again, I'm currently residing in hometown and can do this when I'm present there for which I've no immediate plans.
Let's see, will keep the account alive then for a while. Interestingly, I was going to close the account tomorrow only. At least I can use the DC for an year and then rethink on the account closing later on 😇
Since my hometown doesn't come under their serviceable area, any idea how to get the debit card delivered to my hometown address in Patna? Any idea @Seinfeld

I do have an existing card ... I think I need to pay Replacement charges if I block the existing card and order this one. Can anyone confirm ? It is saying I have 4 replacement request options left out of 5.

I was causally browsing the DBS app on Sep 13, when I saw this Rupay dc and I immediately applied for it. I got email that I'll get tracking details by 16th. But even till 18th I got no dispatch details, so contacted their chat agent, and he informed me that Rupay cards are bit delayed and will take few more days. I decided to wait till 30th Sep before canceling the request. But the card got dispatched on 22nd and I received it on 23rd.
My last dbs debit card expired several months back & I never reapplied for their dc, as they did not give me option of that same free visa platinum dc which I had earlier. They only gave option of EMT & bb cards which had fee.
My account is also NOT prime or whatever upgraded name they call it. But @Seinfeld how and what did prime account cost to you?
PS: The color of the card is bit darker than what it looks in this image. Actual color is deep red (glossy), which really looks nice.

Before amalgamation, LVB issued RUPAY PLATINUM. This is going to expiry on Dec23.But 10 k min balance is worthless.Planning to close the account.Lets see. Are they issuing any LTF credit cards ?

mostly you're right... but today I'm seeing flat 150 off on 500 on Swiggy on dbs debit cards, both visa and Rupay.
This is over and above any swiggy coupons you apply that gives 100 or 125 off.
I don't even know which offer it is, can't find on dd as well or dbs website... maybe Sunday offer, maybe regular offer no idea... and it wasn't there yesterday
So I'll say keep the a/c & card if it is not difficult for you to maintain. Occasional benefits will outdo the costs. And dbs is going high on such offers since now they're trying to capture some market.

Whoever got rupay debit card could you please confirm that your savings account was with LBV earlier?
My dbs account was upgraded to prime earlier now I am not seeing any benefit thought to downgrade it and get rupay debit card but customer service saying they are only offering rupay card to the person having account with LBV earlier.Is it the case? Planning to close account now

I had applied for the same card as their app was showing me the option of applying, but after applying, I got an email from DBS, saying I will get a Visa card...
I instantly called their CC & they told me that they are not giving any Rupay card now, so they automatically issued me the crap EaseMyTrip card (without my permission)...
They have confirmed on the call, that they are only providing EMT card & nothing else...
I asked them to block the card ASAP, which they did, but 2 days later, they charged me debit card replacement fee of 177/- (150 + GST)...
Now I am fighting with them to get the damn debit card chages reversed...
I first time saw a bank charging debit card replacement charges after blocking & not dispatching the card.
In-short, Do NOT apply...They are not giving any Rupay debit card, even though their app is still allowing to apply for it..

Bro like I said before, my case has been different. They did not put my request of Rupay card on hold, but they automatically issued the EMT card without even letting me know.
Then I had to call them & had it blocked, but they still charged me debit card charges even after blocking the EMT card which they issued even though I had applied specifically for the Rupay.
If they would not have automatically issued me the EMT card, I would have no issues to wait for the card, if they would have put my Rupay card request on hold, like I can see that they have sent communicated to the users telling them to wait, but they are not saying the same thing to me. I contcated them many times on their chat & phone support & everytime they are saying to me the same thing, that they are currently not issuing & they are not able to tell me when it will come back in stock.
I talked to at-least 9-10 employees & all said the same thing.
Like you can see here in this thread itself that, Seinfeld applied for Rupay card but got an email that he will get a Visa PayWave card. I had got the exact same email after applying for the Rupay card.
I think they should have temporarily disable applying for Rupay cards, until they are able to give it to all their customers who are applying for it.
I actually told them on the call to make the Rupay cards available ASAP for all users & also told the support person that many of your customers are waiting to get it.
I think if you now apply again, this time they won't mess up as the situation seems to be okay now. Fees to refund ho hi jayegi, if chat agents are useless, an email to their customer care would definitely work.
