Small Business Data Backup

Hi,

We are a medium business and we are looking to backup our data on cloud. I need help in understanding how these things are managed on a corporate level.

Things that we want to achieve:

1. Real time data backup on cloud.

2. Facility to restore data if someone accidently deletes it.

3. Admin should be able to restore the data if needed.

4. If files are deleted in bulk then admin should be able to restrict it. Honestly, we don't want to give delete permission, users should be able to only create data.  Need case: In past one employees deleted all the CCTV data of last 3 months when he was fired along with important data of accounts department, we don't want such things to happen. Even if someone deletes any data from their pc, it should still stay in the cloud and they should be not able to empty the recycle bin and even if they do, then admin should be able to somehow restore the deleted cloud recycle bin data as well.

5. Easily share data among other departments and external persons whenever needed.

6. Users should be only able to append the file, not delete it.

7. Whenever someone leaves the organization we should have a option to retain his data or either delete it as per our wish.

Now, we enquired with google workspace and MS Small medium business One drive sales team. But there are some issues that they are not able to handle.

Google: Files automatically get deleted after 30 days from trash. We want something in which file will stay in trash for 6 months.

One Drive: They will not allow admin to access everyone's file.

We can connect in DM as well.

I searched but found nothing, I don't think it's for pc files backup. It's just for the backup of the data that's in zoho CRM ( Not 100% sure ). We can connect in DM

Just use google one business subscription

and get files on google drives using some auto back up software "date wise folder back up technique" and the one with the access to that google account can restore the copy from google drive based on date of the folder

You can use local nas storage. And maintain one backup on cloud.

Local back up (incremental) and cloud (full backup) for long term will work for you.

It is not free, you need to spend money for back admin too.

Try Microsoft 365 business premium plan. You will get 1 month trial. What you need is enterprise grade service. You won't find such online. You need a custom solution.

Contact these guys to see if they can customize a plan as per your requirements.

Last option would be a synology nas with extensive multiple users permissions with an integrated cloud backup solution.
