I recently came across a post on reddit, where a person who bought 20k worth of zomato GV on telegram, received a notice from cybercrime depy hyd to meet the IO in 7 days.

"It is to inform that a cybercrime case has been registered vide reference cited above and during investigation it has been found that the fraudulently claimed Zomato vouchers/coupons by you.

Hence, you are hereby directed to appear before the undersigned within (7) days from the receipt of this notice along with all the relevant documnents about your identity and all the documents related to the said bank account and transactions to proceed further with the investigation into the case"

I can understand that in this case telegram being a heaven for scammers it may been rightly done.

Till today, I was aware of common ppl getting their bank acc frozen and bank acc balance getting liened through chain freeze with no fault of their own (mostly through crypto p2p scam). But now it seems cybercrime has gone one step forward, and targetting not only bank accs but individual wallets as well.

So, trading just for 2-5% may not be a good idea from now on because of the aforementioned headache.

Cybercrime is already loaded with notices/complaints and they are struggling to even go through the complaint once and for sure no way they are going to issue new notice/complaint from their end 😀

This is a perfect example of the DIGITAL ARREST SCAM that is happening nowadays for which people are brainwashed and compelled to give away their hard earned money to scamsters. Unless I receive a physical letter, I ain't falling for the digital shit.

I'm not gonna entertain physical letters as well.

They really have to send someone from my Local Police Station to inform me... until then I'm gonna ignore all this shit sunglasses

Ohh and also... in case you're going there..get a lawyer as well with you, it's your right.
