Hello Dimers,

I have faced a Dejavu with respect to credit cards i.e IN MULTIPLE CREDIT CARDS (hdfc and axis), which I am paying full regularly

1) the more you are proper in paying credit cards the more LOAN offers you get but not CREDIT LIMIT INCREASE (the surprising part is equal to your current limit in card as loan) BUT NEVER THE CREDIT LIMIT INCREASE for minimum 1 year

FUN PART IS: the non regular payers are getting credit limit increase AND NOT LOAN OFFER quickly than regular payers (my personal feel on my surroundings maybe wrong too)

2) Another Dimer (forget name please show yourself i want to give credit) DMed me with valuable info

which is that before requesting upgrade/swap of card keep your limit free

Eg: minimum 40k free needed in limit before changing from SBI Save to SBI Pulse (in SBI cards example) or else they will reject SRNo.

(PLEASE THE DIMER WHO TOLD ME THIS RESPOND I WANT TO GIVE CREDIT TO YOU properly BUT FORGOT YOUR dd NAME)

Similarly anyone know any other tricks that you faced PERSONALLY AS DEJAVU???

Please comment lets discuss this credit game xDDDD if there is something illogical smile to comprehend smile

Its possible that you have a credit card variant based on your current income and credit history and after some time when your income has increased and credit history improved, you expect to get upgraded to the next level variant but that never happens. So the trick is simply close that card variant, wait for the cool down period and then apply the desired variant directly via the relationship manager.

This trick worked for me for my HDFC Moneyback Credit Card. It got stuck with me for 2 year and I never received any upgrade offer from them even after my financial condition had improved.
