My total due amount is 34k in sbi cashback credit card. But I got a refund of 16k in the meantime. Tomorrow is the due date...
Should I pay total outstanding -18k or total due amount - 34k.

If anyone has any knowledge or prior experience, please help.

Edit - Paying 34k, not risking it. Thanks everybody for your help!

According to RBI guideline, any amount refunded to the card should be instantly adjusted in the current due amount, so that means that you can pay 18k. That being said, I did that couple of months ago and paid some ₹900 less than the due amount. SBI being the cunt as we all know and expect, then charged me late fee etc, and even their customer support team wasn't aware of this rule despite sharing them the official document from RBI's website. I then complained to RBI Ombudsman and result was then in my favor.

But I would still suggest you pay the full amount to avoid the mess. Then open SBI Card app, tap SERVICES on the bottom and select CREDIT BALANCE REFUND. Then enter your bank account details, and the excess amount of 16k will be sent to your account.

Here's the official statement and the link, scroll down to point (g) under "10. Billing"

"Any credit amount arising out of refund/failed/reversed transactions or similar transactions before the due date of payment for which payment has not been made by the cardholder, shall be immediately adjusted against the ‘payment due’ and notified to the cardholder."
