Has anyone tried cleaning very dirty jute carpet?
Vaccum is not able to clean. Dry cleaner is asking for 1200 rupees. Any cheaper way to clean the carpet?

Cleaning yourself is the cheapest with regular detergent or use wool specific detergent if it is woolen/delicate. Drying would be a bigger headache if the carpet is of bigger size

I've seen videos of people cleaning carpets in the rain. You cant hesitate to get drenched - but you can soap, scrub and rinse over and over in a heavy downpour

While for the average one or the jute ones you have.. homemade mixtures of vinegar, baking soda, (if needed) hydrogen peroxide and liquid gels (for washing laundry) ought to do the job.
I see some ratios for this .. mentioned online.. but I am not too sure of the product or its exact condition.. hence not really expanding on that.
Getting on the knees, hand scrubbing (with a hard plastic brush) and cleaning with water and repeating the cycles.. is always an option.
Do not know the size or weight.. hence.. again.. cannot suggest on putting it in machines.
