Christ University - No admission if you have account in South Indian Bank?

It seems to be a case of some technical limitations or precautions,
wherein the https:/southindianbank.com/branch/karnataka/bangalore-rural/christ-academy,-bangalore/907 bank might have a limitation of only allowing a person to either hold a student category account or a normal/ other category account
(and not both types simultaneously).
Like it says, the University is cautioning against already holding a (¿normal?) account (with the bank).
Technically the University has no authorisation or access to the client data of some other (unrelated) business.
Unrelated as in, the university is not a large shareholder or has a board seat to get access to whether XYZ is a customer or not.
Hence a deduction (that the bank has the reason/s for denial of parallel accounts. No idea if there are any rules guidelines from the FinMin or the Central Bank).

i think they will convert your daughter's account to student account. they cannot deny admission due to this. speak with them once.
