After navigating through generic chat templates, I finally connected with an agent after 20 minutes. The agent, though apologetic, offered a measly 54 rupee coupon on a 1,140 rupee meal. I felt completely cheated and helpless.
Though I do not usually order meals online, I am a regular Swiggy Instamart user and never had issues there. After rejecting the coupon, I was given a support email. I sent a detailed complaint with photos of the food and packaging. Their response? The same 54 rupee coupon.
Swiggy’s customer support left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone..

Its sad to know, but the brighter point is Siwggy is not Buggy, it offered the same coupon in all channels
My friend had a similar incident recently, avoiding ordering via swiggy currently, because when i ordered from zomato my biryani was bit different from what i ordered so they immediately processed a 100% refund on my order, while in case of swiggy the order was fully spilled and everything and still my friend got just 70rs refund on 800rs order
They are behaving like m*r*ns even if order comes 2 hour late.
stopped zomato & swiggy altogether.

Same kind of experience few days ago, provided me a 54/- swiggy food coupon which is virtually useless as all other coupons are better (like B1G1, flat 60% off upto 100 etc)

Forget low paid, teenagers hired by Haptik (for Jio, Jiomart), third party call-centres od Swiggy or others.
but even in companies with better customer focus,
only the lowest rung or the most uninterested part-timers are assigned to the chat process (especially late at night).
With aggregator platforms, it is a 'norm' to quickly get 'valuations' up, without bothering much about 'how' the valuations come.
A 'cost center' like customer service is better outsourced, than to be kept in-house
Forget chat support, but even the front-line ☎️call📞 support for Swiggy (restaurant orders) is mostly third party BPOs only.
Even those agents often hesitate or are not allowed to transfer to actual Bengaluru teams.
Many times, the call staff, first bounces the call to their floor incharge kr someone within the same BPO.
Then one has to bargain, (emotionally) blackmail or raise voice with them.. for the call to be patched to the line that gets picked by actual staff of Bundl Technologies in Bengaluru.
They identify themselves as 'escalations'.
To avoid regular frauds from customers (buyers), the chat agents are always advised to not offer replacement or full refund from their side.
Depending on the account health, account age, even the normal ☎️call📞 support agents (of the third party call centers) too offer refund or replacements.
P.S.: I have only ordered 7 or 8 times.. in my entire life, from the restaurant part of Swiggy (and three times from Instamart). That too because someone at one sweets shop themselves told that you can create a new account to order the thaali at much less and order the sweets too.
The delivery boy did not have to do anything and was happy to get 4/5 stars and i ate there itself, as the owner agreed.
Few other orders in exceptional circumstances.
So it is not like I am taking sides with Bundl Technologies. I could not care less if they filed for bankruptcy or shut shop today.
Few of my Wellness Forever (pharmacy) orders were delivered by Swiggy though. Late night orders. So that way Swiggy riders did help me.
they have been exploited 1000s of time ... so these measures .
bad food is restaurant issue .. go call them / visit them / give them bad reviews ... never order from them .

Ever since I've started using COD with food delivery apps, I'm getting timely delivery and well packaged parcels 😄
Have had to refuse only 2 suspect orders (oil stains on parcel, inverted pizza box) in as many years; in both cases, the delivery person allowed me to open the parcel in front of him to check the contents
On 1st November I was ordering on Swiggy but delivery time was almost 1 hour so decided to go to the restaurant and get my order myself paid Rs 1170 at the restaurant same order on Swiggy was showing Rs 1450 after discount so saved almost 300
Hell , even if they have in house delivery also, the quantity would be more than ordering through these apps.
Approach facebook support on swiggy and threaten them to take legal action. probably they will offer 50% of order value as refund/coupon.
