Either MRP's are inflated or quality is very bad. This is the trend in crackers business. How to decide what's the best price to buy a particular cracker variant for Diwali? I know companies like "Standard" are trusted for quality but prices are quite high. Is there a loot/trick for buying best quality crackers at a loot price either online or offline? Offline there are so many outlets but very difficult to bargain and decide. Please help if anyone have experience and tips.
PS: I'm against these crackers due to pollution but need to satisfy my kids happiness so need to buy minimum.
yesterday a friend who lives abroad said that his country, hes a citizen there, has tightened rules so cracker companies have to make crackers which wont cause pollution more than 20ppm or ppmi or something like that he said. and here bc those snake coins/balls emit black smog. ofcourse Diwali crackers are not the reason alone for pollution, but waiting for politicians and some people to blame it on this.

2 days back brought crackers from hosur, tamil nadu. All shops are closed at karnataka border due to fire accident which happend few weeks back. Prices are manupulated like anything on other brands except standard crackers. I took one cracker box and 1850 price was clearly visible. above that they pasted 4500rs sticker and giving 90% discount on it. Last week prices are little lesser compared to this week. I asked for a fancy shot price. Owner told me 300rs. But on it 8000rs sticker was there. At billing section they billed it for 800rs. when i asked owner about this he gave it for 300. On single cracker itself 500 additional profit. Imagine how much profit they are making. We cant blame them also as they need to feed many govt offices. so better buy standard crackers insteaf of others. Atleast they are good

Yes this year all cracker prices were skyrocketed. Don't know the reason but I have spent double the amount spent last year for same items. This business is not streamlined like it is for others. Don't think there is any regulatory authority or price check policy

Actually we have habbit of giving short name to everything. i hate the using of word "Diwali" which have taken place of the original "Deepawali" everywhere now.
