Cancer-causing aflatoxins found in Disano Peanut Butter

I came across this website, UnboxHealth, which apparently provides lab reports of some processed foods and vitamins, and I found this page for a brand of peanut butter I used to LOVE and buy every month.

https://www.unboxhealth.in/explore/product/2dc3005f-c84a-405e-be66-41af9f8b2384 and the direct link to the report: https://unboxhealth-production.s3.amazonaws.com/unbox/media/Public_Documents/Lab_Reports_UH-2402-PBU-DISA-rechzcOcXH6BmolOx.pdf

Now I'm hella worried. If anyone else has been consuming Disano's peanut butters, please be warned and don't consume it any more. Aflatoxins cause cancer. Unfortunately I have 3 boxes at home. Asked them for a refund so let's see what happens.

Nah, we don't eat a typical Indian diet. When you look up the nutrition, it's not particularly good.

What will you do now ? after this information of you ingesting cancer causing materials .

All kind of proccessed food , canned stuffs , preservatives added stuffs .. all those INS chemical jumla should be avoided at any cost .

Aflatoxins is a naturally occurring toxin caused by mold on peanuts. Its more or less an unavoidable thing. Every brand peanut butter has Aflatoxin content to some level & of course FSSAI has set a permissible limit to it.

Random sampling means even if a brand aflatoxin values are found low in one report, that does not mean that the particular brand is good forever. it just means that the particular batch is good. Aflatoxin can be high in the next batch or the next one and so on.... No brand would be frequent testing or much less release those test reports for public disclosure!

Yes. Trustified test also shows the same. It's above the safe limit.

Yes, we eat neither wheat nor rice each day (if you don't know, white rice often has arsenic), nor do we consume litres of seed oils each month, and since a while now I've banned peanut butter as well. I forgot to check my subscribe and save and got two of these delivered last month lol

Amazon has been so wonderful even though it was not their fault in the first place. They refunded me the money for the 2 boxes I bought earlier in November! Disano themselves never replied to my email.

It would not hurt to be mindful of EVERY concession in general, but specifically those taken on non returnable items.
Returnless refunds are IMMEDIATELY captured by TRMS (automated systems) https://amazon.jobs/en-gb/teams/transaction-risk-management-systems, which might issue a 'Notice: Policy warning' titled automated e-mail
if the systems detect concessions beyond a certain threshold.

If ever such an e-mail is ever received, it is ALWAYS a good idea to reply to it, so that the case gets assigned to a human agent.
Although in both cases, the e-mail might appear to come from the 'ofm' address, at-least the humans can override the automated system.
As it is, TRMS (especially the Concession Abuse Prevention team/ CAP team) hiring standards too have DRASTICALLY gone down.
So better to be on guard, especially if the account is close to heart or has Amazon Pay balance credits in it in ANY country.
(Even if the account is restricted due to the orders in India, the login access to US, CA, UK and other sites too would be restricted. And vice versa. Any denial of access due to orders on other sites would restrict accessing the Indian site using the same login credentials.)
