Can You Help Me in Closing FD which is linked a FD-Backed Secured Credit Card in ICICI Bank?
- Created ICICI Bank FD-backed Credit Card back in 2022.
- Currently have 6 Credit Cards
- Also, have good Credit Score and Good Credit History.
- Have 3 Cards from ICICI Bank (out of which one is Unsecured AmazonPay Credit Card)
- Currently in need of Urgent Money.
- Want to withdraw the balance from FD.
- Willing to continue the the FD backed ICICI Platinum Credit Card.
- Is it possible to use the secured card after closing the FD? (Will the card be automatically converted to unsecured credit card?)
- Can you please tell me how can I do that?
- Any dimers dis this in the past? Please share your experience.

I am not sure if they allow non-savings account customers to get FD cards but If you have Savings account then Yes, you can do it online, my first credit card was secured icici credit card. Made an FD online and got the option to apply a credit card against it, one was chargeable and other one instant platinum was lifetime free so took the latter. After few years I closed that card via CC on call and lien on FD was removed too after closure. No visit to branch at all.

You need to close Card to remove lien from FD, the you can break FD

If you have an Icici FD backed card, only way to break/close the FD is to close the card first.

How to get FD backed ICICI credit card? can we get it done online??
