My friend received his first cheque. And the company gave him a crossed (2 lines in the left top most corner) cheque of PNB. But he don't have account in PNB, he only has 1 account and that too in SBI. So, can PNB cheque be used to get money in his SBI account. Also, he can't go to bank, I will go with his cheque, so will the bank let me deposit that cheque in his account? He don't want cash, he want bank deposit only.

Didn't expect such a basic financial question from a member of your stature...
Yes, can use deposit slip of any bank, attach it, write a/c no and mobile no on the back and sign, for added mental peace, get it stamped and counterfoil from teller instead of using drop-box...
I'm not sure why you're confused, but that's how cheques work. You don't need to have the same bank account as mentioned on the cheque. When you'll deposit it in the bank, then the SBI will present the cheque to PNB, which'll then release the fund after successful validation and then the money will be deposited in your friend's SBI account. The process will take nearly 2-3 working days, and yes, you can deposit it on your friend's behalf..it doesn't matter.
Clearing ka naam sune ho , ise hi kehte h, kisi bhi bank ka cheque kisi bhi bank me lga skte ho, 2-3 din me clear ho jaayega...
Yes, can deposit cheque in any bank. The crossed lines on left top most means account payee only, account holder name should be same. can't be cashed over the counter.
