Chromebooks come with inbuilt storage and most chromebooks do not have additional slots. But you can put the existing SSD in an external case and use with the chromebook.

Chrombook kon leta hai ? agar student ya only office work kar rahe ho toh ok hai.

I use a chromebook (linux subsystem activated) as my main travel device. Adequate for all basic office work, online office login, mail, browsing and media consumption.

And obviously the interfaces, form factors of the SSDs too matter.
Some chromebooks had/have eMMC storage too.
It would help to know the port type/ connector type, form factor of the intended SSD that would be reused in a different machine.
