Guys as you know non of the companies in our great country making Hybrid solar inverters and so called Indian brands are selling chinese inverters at skyrocketed prices full on loot from everywhere
A 6.2 kwh hybrid inverter is available on Amazon at around Rs. 48000 by a generic Indian brand name muscle grid, same Inverter is being sold on Alibaba at Rs. 19500+ shipping 7000 rupees
Custom duty 20% GST 18% = 38%
19550+38% =26978+7000 Rs. Shipping = total
33978 still much cheaper

It comes through air or sea? Will there be any issue at Customs as it is Chinese origin? Customs officers will show any "Laal Aankh" or "56 inch chest"?
1 more thing, Indian power supply ranges between 200-240V, 50 Hz & USA uses 60 Hz and various countries uses various voltages and frequencies. What about these China made inverters?

20% custom duty is there and GST 18% no laal ankh possible as almost all solar inverters in india are imported from China only
In its software all countries available you select india in setup and everything will be as per Indian standard

The problem is not whether you are ready to pay the import duties, etc. The concern is after your product reaches India, whether the customs are willing to give it to you or seize it altogether, stating import regulations, etc.
Some years ago, I imported a product from China, and the local customs seized it, giving their own reasons. If you try to communicate with them and explain your case, they are not willing to listen to you.
