Dont know about transfer of bike .

Hi Dimers,
I am planning to buy my first bike RE Meteor 350 which on road cost is about 2.70lakh.
And the same bike is available in army or military canteen for 2.00lakh.
Can i buy through army canteen..
Note:-
-> No one from my family is in army so I "ll be using friend card. Can I do like this ?
-> If I buy via there bike ownership would be in their name so how or when can I transfer it on my name?
-> Any extra info if you guys can provide
Other suggestions like bike or any points to be kept are welcomed.

before it was fine ,but now day everything is done online so too risky, if he got found out he can even lose his job or face disciplinary action.- source (my dad was a army officer )

And don't forget to get ownership transfer paperwork signed from him as soon as you get delivery of vehicle. Sale letter/form 29/ form 30 etc etc.
Keep date column empty or keep those documents post dated(3months/6months).

you can, however there is minimum time before it can be transferred on your name which is either 2 or 5 years

You can purchase and drive as long as your friend agrees to handover his bike to you. There is no harm if your friend is comfortable with you riding a bike registered in his name. But actual ownership can be transferred only after x years.
Value of X can be determined from Canteen (CSD).
