Flipkart has a discount coupons which are accessible from customer accounts. These coupons are applicable on a particular set of products.
Now these coupons are assigned to customers based on some xyz criteria which is often overlooked. So there is no definite constructive offer/discount criteria for consumers.
- If the seller is one of the Flipkart consultant rooms, chances are very high the product gets delivered.
- For third party sellers with non returnable items do get delivered mostly
- Some third party sellers often clear old stock through Flipkart. It gets sold through discounts.
- Often sellers have no idea at what price the product is being sold for. Just like customers they do get similar offers on selling products. Like commision gets dropped to 5% from 20% for innerwear items etc..
- Brands enforce the minimum pricing on their items to make sure all distributers are compensated properly.
Mostly every product and offer is not micromanaged by Flipkart hence a lot of pricing errors crawl out on website.
Often pricing on Flipkart never makes much sense!
And the products are easily cancelled by revoking the discount coupon.
