it is not like the past, there's too much population now, more ppl could afford them than before, and production has increased ten folds. someone has to put the breaks
Totally agreed, I've seen how sound and air pollution has affected pregnant woman, elderly people, children (not only during this time but during english new year too). Enought to reduce your lifespan by few years.
Yes, still. Love crackers...
Just like a firecracker instantly disappears after bursting, this OP fellow disappears even faster after creating a random topic
Did you burst crackers when you're kid? No
Are you still bursting crackers?
Yes, had to start it to save the planet and I burst crackers only during New Year Party as I heard that as per 'dogla puran' crackers emit pure oxygen if busted on Dec 31st.
I used to do when I was kid ,but not do it anymore now day because I don't find it interesting anymore bore ho gaya itna. Boom boom kar leya
Patakho wala boom-2 puch rhe h, thailand wala nh...
Yes, but now I rarely. I love to crack these, infact its kind of my hobby! But now I almost stopped. Saving money and saving planet (not sure of the second but the first is for sure).
I'm against air pollution of any kinds, be it diwali, new year, movie promotion, 4s and 6s of IPL, illegal factories, AC....whatever it is. Reduce carbon footprint as much as you can.
Yup aadhe aaj jalaye, baki ke kal
As a kid I used to burst crackers not lounds one but phuljhari, anar, charkhi and naagin or murga chaap 😅😅 Had stopped bursting crackers as I don't like noise pollution much but from last 3 years again bursting these on eve of Deepawali.

Why should The Rich Have all the Fun Everyday, 365 days , especially Corrupt ones ??? Private Jets, Luxury Cars, all excess resources pollution for single person?
Gareebi Doglapan Hatao, Desh Bachao
used to support it when I was a kid, but now it makes no sense to me at all. I think it’s completely misguided. Rational thinking and maturity have led me to dislike it even more. I feel no joy in it and pity those who still support it. With the scarcity of fresh air already a concern, we are only making the situation worse.
I wish the government would take action to educate people on the impact of their choices. It is unnecessary to pollute the environment to express our joy in welcoming Lord Rama; there are many other ways to convey our feelings without harming the planet..
So when you were young you enjoyed bursting tons of crackers & now worrying about future and not let present kids enjoy ?
Yes, everything should be moderation but that's a difficult and different scenario.
It's like the Old buddha [ Old Man ] shouting at Neighbour children for bursting Bombs. The same Buddhaa 2 years back was throwing bombs from rooftop with his grandchildren!
What a hypocrite!
The people stare to death if you accidentally sit on Their Khandani Reserved Seat in Metros, even if give up the seat instantly, they will give short lecture about ethics, morals etc. etc.
I haven't burst crackers, used some phooljhadi though as a kid.
I haven't burst the crackers in ages. Mainly because I am simply not interested in it.
Am I again crackers - No. I believe that there is no issue with using firecrackers. Instead people should stop giving gyan on Hindu festivals.
Every festival is targeted now - Holi (Save water), Shiv Ratri (Wastage of milk, think about the poor), Diwali (firecrackers), Jallikattu (Animal Cruelty), Ganesh Chaturthi(Water Pollution), Karwa Chauth (Patriarchy, regressive) ... You get the idea.
Even peta has no issues with killing of goats in Eid but targets every hindu festival. Hindus have become a soft target. We should embrace our culture instead and not let it die out.

PETA has done a lot over the years in making people aware of animal cruelty throughout the world and to promote the vegan movement.. Sure their tactics can appear crude or jarring but they want to get maximum attention.
Culture is something that have evolved down the ages and will keep evolving with time. If there is something better we can do now there is nothing wrong in embracing a positive change
Yes. I love pollution and hate population
I used to burst crackers a lot as a kid. The heavy bombs kind were my favourite. But after I turned 17, I lost all interest for bursting crackers and stopped completely. If anyone bans, I will burst 2-3 boxes in protest and never vote for them including banning crackers for 22 hours a day only on the 3 days of festival while letting cancer causing vehicles go scot free.
why do you think there so much tax on petrol, cooking gas and cars? the govt is trying to discourage their use with taxes. but it is also our duty to reduce with in our individual capacity. i even think of reducing the no of orders i place so i get less deliveries. just because someone is being idiot, we do not have to be. our actions should not be based on what others are doing
Haven't burst crackers since I have lost my dad 12 years ago🥹
Yes.
Not anymore. Bachpan main ek sutli bomb phoota nahi. Paas gaya to ekdum se fat gaya, eardrum rupture ho gaya. Peechle 25 saal se left kaan main se paani ata hai! Band kar diya tabse. Ab bas lights aur diye lagate hain gharpe aur Bhagwan Ji ke ghar jaake.
Yes burst during my childhood... now bursting with my children
As a kid I used to burst crackers not lounds one but phuljhari, anar, charkhi and naagin or murga chaap 😅😅 Had stopped bursting crackers as I don't like noise pollution much but from last 3 years again bursting these on eve of Deepawali.
