Building a new home theater

Can someone who has already setup a home theater help me with their inputs.

Our house construction is in its last stage of slab and the top floor room is for home theater.

Instead of a big TV, im planning for a projector.

1) What all connections are required for a projector that needs to be wired in the ceiling? I'm planning to conceal it during the concreting process with the help of our electrician.

2) do i need a receiver for this setup ?

3) suggest a good projector for a dark room at around 20k.

I already have a Sony 5.1 speaker which I'll be using here. That's the only thing im. Planning to reuse here.

VU. I also plan to have same one day. Hope you get good suggestions here.

Can you do office style false ceiling which allows tweaking wires afterwards (not sure of cost).

What is room size? And 20k projector will suffice? I was thinking will need 1lakh+ to project quality over the wall?

Projector lack in many aspects like day light performance, Video Audio 200-500 ms lag, No dolby vision, no dolby audio decoding etc. I had a decent byintek k20 1080p projector, but max used 5-6 times only In last 3 years and last month sold for 9000. Go for 55 or 65 inch QLED and Samsung q990c 11.1.4 soundbar.

Dont conceal, but put 2inch pipes for HDMI, power, ethernet wires. Later on wires can be passed throuh them using springs as per your plan.

just tested my pixaplay on sky blue color wall , size ~ 80 inch .

video was okay wise , audio meh .... its like in this price will get this much only .

by the way i am huge videophile .. current rating 6/10 .

will setup in other room properly , with white screen say 80-100 inch .. hdmi input with my PC .

will use PC audio + 5.1 speaker setup (sound card etc) .. audio problem will be solved ... so finally it will reach 7/10 rating .

for more better PQ / AQ ... have to invest like 1-2 lacs i assume . (future plans)

can say this projector is value for money .

How is the picture quality at the edges? Most of budget projectors give blur PQ at edges. Also note the hdmi cable of 15feet or long should be very good one, otherwise the PQ go down drastically.

I tried to play DTH ( airtel) content via 15ft long hdmi  cable on my projector and it is giving lines in between. I thought the cable is bad and bought a 2000 hdmi cable, same issue. After research i found long hdmi cables have this inherent problem if we dont choose right one. So careful while chosing long hdmi cables.

If you are doing false ceiling make sure to have two 1.5-2  inch pipes in the ceiling that should go from where you are planning to keep the projector to the AVR.

Then in the walls have the normal electric pipes for your desired setup. 5.1.4 or 7.1.4(just examples.)

Make sure you don't have many windows or else you will need very heavy curtains to block the sound that is if you are not going for sound proofing.

For flooring wooden flooring is recommended along with heavy pile carpet.

For false ceiling go with wooden ceiling or fabric ceiling.

I have a 5.1.4 setup in my 14 by 24 room. But my setup is proper theater  like setup. Feel free to dm me for any queries.

So this is what I did. For the time being ive got a 75 inch tv and will use the existing Sony ht s20r. Will have the interior done along with a rug and rough wall.

I did decide on a projector, but after reading reviews, I was like wasting some money for nothing.. More over i would additionally need a player in order to use it properly.

Ive put a 1.25 inch pvc pipe in the ceiling in order to run 1 or 2 hdmi cable in future. A 2.5 floor house went to a 3.5 and hence had to mind the budget.
