Hi guys, Have you received any communication from BSNL to do Re-KYC for your BSNL SIM?
I did not get any SMS/Call and the services were stopped suddenly. Called customer care and they are telling to do KYC from the same telecom circle from where SIM was taken to activate the services. Now the problem is I do not live in that state anymore and cannot go there anytime soon.
Is there any solution to activate the SIM?

anyone know after how many years we have to do rekyc in bsnl? it will help
They wanted to link Aadhar with BSNL numbers - and in that process they did biometric, kyc and gave new 4G compatible SIM even when there is no 4G coverage.
I suggest you to send anyone with your ID and also ask him to carry his original ID. With any one ID your work will be done.
Nobody else can do your Re-KYC even if he/she carrries your original documents with himself because Re-KYC needs fingerprint and Live Photo Capturing which can be done with your physical presence only in BSNL OFFICE

If your number 0123456789 is registered as the alternate number by me on my unrelated connection, EVEN BY MISTAKE
it may trigger a conflict with the ever changing rules (rollbacks are often not captured in legacy software.)

And obviously if you mistakenly tell TAFCOP dite that some numbers are not yours or are suspiciously linked to your name, then too TRAI/ DoT mandates the operator to confirm KYC updation.
Likewise If you or a couple of hundred others (even wrongly) report my number as a commercial spamming number, then again the Department of Teleom would ask my operator to put the number in re-verification.
Also if investigative agencies, law enforcement suspect caller ID spoofing or cloning of a number, then they too or a court order too can cause a connection to be put into re-verification pending status.
In most of these cases, the re-KYC is actually a good safety feature to keep larher consumers out of trouble.
This circle system of BSNL is horrible. I'm also stuck with a SIM from another circle that I cannot update to 4G nano SIM because of this. BSNL office in other circles will not help - even if you are lucky to find working staff in the first place
ETA - Take the SIM to the nearest office and say you want to link Aadhar to this number and dont say it is out of circle SIM. See if they can do something.
Yes I and My Mother both have one one BSNL Sim each
I took Sim using fingerprint kyc at a retail totally digital kyc with photo clicking
My mother took sim using paper work. Manual submission of aadhar xerox and photo in BSNL office.
My Mother got sms of Re - Kyc and surprisingly I didn't got. Luckily we were in home town so went to BSNL office. There was a long queue for Re-Kyc and all of them submitted kyc in hardcopy (paper work)
So only those whose kyc was done using hardcopy and not using fingerprint got the sms of Re - KYC
If you live in some other state then you to come to your home state to complete Re-Kyc or for sim damage this has been the rule for BSNL from years. Otherwise forget your sim bro
From next time make sure you take BSNL sim using Aadhar based fingerprint Digital KYC only to avoid any issue/Inconvenience if you currently live or going out for a tour in another state or country
in telangana many places they are giving 5g sims... for existing sim cards free of cost

It MUST be relaxed to visit the nearest BSNL CSC or Nearest Customer Service Office or Company Outlet to avoid the MENTAL AND PHYSICAL Hassle.
