BSNL inactive SIM deactivated and no signal. How to get back number?

And it was originally a DOCOMO. Will it go to original telecom (now Airtel on merger) in such cases? Or the number is with BSNL themselves?

It was over and no incoming or og was available. But was getting signal till last month.
@shraaj You had commented that you have sims from all 4 telecoms, some inactive. Are they still getting a signal?
Approach the BSNL office, explain the same with the proof that the number in your name and try to get a postpaid connection with the same number. (Normally it will happen in private telecom companies, but I am not sure about BSNL). If it happens, then after 3 months, you can migrate to prepaid or port to another operator.
Few months back, I had the similar issue. Just 1 week after GP2 period over, contacted customer care, the executive told me to do 107 recharge, recharge was successful. It worked for me, so try doing 107 recharge. Otherwise you can get the same number from nearest BSNL office.
There was no signal and on recharge, signal came?

When trying to recharge 107, On website, it says "Plan and the Denomination / Voucher selected is not applicable to this plan". On self-care app it says "please select prepaid number" and "mobile number is not valid". Unable to recharge on Amazon and Paytm too.
Your account is terminated at the end of the validity. However, you can recharge your prepaid card during the grace period to make it active again. You are not allowed to make or take calls during the grace period.
You have to opt for a postpaid connection and then you can get to prepaid if you wish....!
