BSNL has launched a new data-only recharge plan of Rs.277. It offers 120GB data with a validity of 60 days. After the 120GB is completely used up, the internet speed will be reduced to 40kbps. BSNL has mentioned that this promotional plan will be available only between 25-12-2024 and 16-01-2025.

Actually, my opinion is almost the same. But recently I have noticed that BSNL net speed is improved in my area. But the problem is that occasionally for a few hours or a few days the net speed is getting very slow or it is getting disconnected frequently.
When using plans like "GB per day" in BSNL, if the net speed is very slow on any particular day, the FUP data provided for that day is almost wasted because we will not able to fully utilize it due to poor net speed that day.
But in case of "NOT per day" data plans like this new 277 plan, the entire FUP data can be consumed anytime until the last minute of validity period, so when the net speed is good, there is a facility to use the FUP data without wasting a single GB. A few days ago, I was able to use almost 10GB of the 40GB that came under the 151 data plan in one hour.
So, in my experience it is worth using BSNL prepaid SIM for "NOT per day" data plans..

Even if it was 120 Mb, you will b having 100 mb in your account after 60 days. Last year i ported from VI to BSNL wasted my recharge and ported back next month. Bsnl is for calling not internet. It's not their cup of tea.

It depends what you need internet for and at what time of the day. My father has always had BSNL and for the kind of mundane stuff he does, 3G speed is enough. But for streaming movies and other intense stuff you definitely need a different provider. Their main drawback is highly volatile speeds - it can be more than 8 Mbps at nights but slow down to crawling speeds during peak evening hours.

Leave High Speed & 4G, Couldn't use 3G for normal calls (Call drops, no voice, call congestion, etc.). Using 2G network in 5G phone. 😝

In my area 3g max speed upto 2 MBPS and in 4g around max upto 4 MBPS. 3g give sable internet browsing than 4g.

I am using bsnl 4g speed is 8-10 mbps and network remains full. After I ported my sim to bsnl I was getting full 4g network but the issue was when there was no electricity there was no network. So I made a complaint and it took almost 2 to 3 months I didn't remember exact in mean time network was completely gone and I was not getting any network for almost 15 days. Now it's working fine but the issue is once network is gone it takes time to fix issue this happened in my case. I am currently using rs 201 gp2 plan which gives 6gb data and calling for 90 days.
