Boat used to provide amazing after sales services earlier and warrenty claim process was hassle free and amazing. But recently they have started using dubious business practices to fool customers.

My brother was using boat earpods which were under warrenty and one side of it stopped charging. He filed warrenty claim online and product was picked up from home. Later its warrenty claim was rejected by boat stating that product has passed quality checks. Then they sent the same item back and afterwards it worked fine for like 1-2  weeks and again stopped working. 

He again filed claim and same thing repeated for like 3-4 times. It seems again and again they just incorporate some temporary fix or repair to the product and send it back to the customer again without providing replacement.

I filed complaint about it on social media and the product was picked up again and this time they provided replacement and sent a second hand / used item to me. Which seemed to be in unhygienic condition. This company can no longer be trusted.

The Boat BT earphones I purchased stopped working within warranty period. Raised warranty claim, they picked up the product and gave me another, 'almost' new set, . Those too stopped working within a month.

I didn't bother to raise another warranty claim again for couple of thousands but decided to avoid this company.

That's why u go to their service center then it'll be hassle free just got a replacement a week ago, service center guy raised replacement no question asked

People misused boat warranty a lot, some month ago a guy was asking bill to cheat boat in here as well, so now they r cheating all the guys who use pickup warranty system

Did I miss any loot or steal deals?

(Initially I often bought those measly power cables/ data cables which are on offer at ₹99. And invariably the metal on all of those which were in regular use, got worn out too fast. The metal/alloy in the probe.. which goes in the device.)

Then once some Belkins were there at a reasonable discount and bought a few. All the Belkins have survived multiple years of regular use.

Now some "boAt" are lying around 'peti-pack' (not even taken out of the box to check if okay) and unsure what to do.

Not to mention that Midhula Kandula, Viswanadh Kandula (of MiVi brand), Syska, Everready and others like Intex et al. had already created the perception of 'chindi chor' brands (brands that negotiate with Chom Sung Lee or Xi Chan to export out of Guangzhou or Hanoi, without having even two three people in India who ever know what is inside the product or how to repair it).

Boat is now selling with leaks. If you open the box it will drown in few weeks

Same happened with my sis neckband. There's was issue with the mic they picked it up and after some time they rejected the claim stating physical damage.

When I received the package I found they have broken the charging point cover to reject it.

I was wonder if it was bought from Amazon marketplace 

and if so, did looping this (warranty denial) IN to Amazon ever got contemplated.

(Since the responsibility of enforcing ALL sale contracts executed through their marketplace, is on Amazon... they always.. at-least on paper.. Step IN to resolve.)

Thus if I sold you a Samosa, via Amazon and the listing says it will be delivered piping hot and there will be absolutely no diarrhoea to the buyer, for 365 days from the date of invoice, else approach the makers of the samosa.

Then the sale contract is bound to give protection in the event of any diarrhoea in 6-8 months.

If the samosa maker denies to honour the said terms of the guarantee (unless samosa maker is a Modi), then approaching Amazon helps.

Amazon POC (point of contact) reaches out to the PoC of the samosa maker (or at-least the seller, if seller had claimed to give any such guarantee/ warranty).

And in case, even Amazon teams are unable to evoke valid response/s, helpful action

then

since the terms of the sale contract included the said warranty, which you never got.. Amazon refunds the amount you originally paid for entering into the (rendered breached) contract.

yup same happened with me just now, the guy pryed open the plastic on the earphone and stated that the product is damaged.

I have experienced the same for boat ion buds, the product was picked up and returned stating quality check pass. Again sent back and got old junk. I have experienced same with fireboltt smart watch , their customer support is just for name sake. After all it's Chinese junk. I took a lesson not to buy their products ever again.

They picked up the old dirty product after complaint only to send even more dirtier product. Filled with earwax. Never expected boat to sink to this level.

they have become useless now, even went to service centre, they said we can't do anything since a small tag (mini qr type) that comes when we purchase it was missing (who cares about that) and then home pickup was arranged later
i was not even able to power on the earphone, but test says all good and they sent back same (let's see how many days will it last)
