Big changes to your favorite American Express cards are here:

What's Changed?
First Year Fees: Amex cards are now chargeable from the first year, even with referrals but giving extra bonuse rewards.
For MRCC, now the annual fees is raised to ₹4,500

Platinum Travel Card:
First Year Fee: ₹3,500 + GST
Bonus: 12,00 MR points for spending ₹15,000 within 90 days
From Second Year: ₹5,000 + GST

MRCC (Membership Rewards Credit Card):
First Year: ₹1,000 + GST
Bonus: 6,000 MR points for spending ₹15,000 within 90 days
From Second Year: ₹4,500 + GST

Gold Charge:
First Year Fee: ₹1,000 + GST
Bonus: 6,000 MR points for spending ₹10,000 within 90 days

Just a hype so that few months later they can boast about discounted annual fees. Absolutely nil acceptance offline even in metro cities. Online limit exists on Amazon gyftr vouchers. Unrealistic targeted offers. Now a days very difficult to reach milestone limits.

So that means even with ones with referral mrcc will be 4500+GST? Existing card holders which were promised 1500+GST will have to pay more?

If that's the case, I'm yeeting my mrcc.
